Ponderosa Room

The Ponderosa Room is located on the second level of the Flagstaff Nordic Center. Nestled within the ponderosa pine and quaking aspen of the Coconino National Forest at an elevation of 8200 feet, it has an incredible view of the San Francisco Peaks and a lovely meadow where you can watch the mule deer and elk that frequent the area.It is an excellent location for bird watching and spectacular sunsets.

There are plenty of hiking opportunities due to the lodge's location at the intersection of 30 to 35 miles of ski and snowshoe trails. Most of these trails can be used for biking as well as hiking.

  • Located on second level of the Flagstaff Nordic Center and accessible only via stairs
  • Bedding not included, bring your own
  • Sleeps 4 - One full-size (double) futon and one full-size (double) sofa sleeper for beds
  • Check in time: 3:00 PM, Check out time: 10:00 AM
  • Pets allowed only with prior permission. Pets may not be left unattended inside the building.
  • Restrooms are on the lowel level of the Lodge and have showers
  • Ponderosa Room is equipped with a kitchen area which includes: cupboards, sink, gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, and kitchen utensils and serving set for 4
  • Lodge power is completely self-contained and "off-grid." This means that all power comes from solar and back-up generator, and water is hauled in on trucks. Conservation of energy and water is encouraged and appreciated.

Rate

  • $80 per night for up to 4 people, Sunday - Thursday
  • $105 per night: Friday, Saturday, and Holidays for up to 4 people
  • $30 one time cleaning fee regardless of number of nights stayed
  • $10 extra per person, per night over 4 people
  • $10 extra per pet, per night (only with prior permission)
